The date of 17th, Dec., 2007 was a memorial day for SPMP. The heavy loaded transportation vessel “Shanghai Gangji 3 Hao” which bearing limitless hope of SPMP was successfully launched, which symbolized that the water transportation capacity for container cranes of SPMP would be highly improved and would supply strong support for SPMP fearlessly developing world market.

Beside the rostrum with vermeil background and flowers clustered around, a huge and magnificent black vessel covered with colorful ribbons stood upright dauntlessly. The white letters of “Shanghai Gangji 3 Hao”on the black vessel was remarkable and eye-catching. There were leaders and guests from CCCG, Nanjing Pukou district government, Nanjing Marine Bureau, marine design institute, shipping company and Shanghai Navigation Bureau, Chuwa Bussan and SPMP presented the ceremony.

The deputy chairman of SPMP emphasized in his speech that the construction of “Shanghai Gangji 3 Hao” strongly supported by CCCG was a new move taken by SPMP to realize its new development. This vessel would further increase the company’s transportation capacity and laid firm foundations for fast and multivariable development.

In the end, with the order given from Mr. Chen Yongkuan, the deputy chairman of CCCG, “Shanghai Gangji 3 Hao” was driven into the water earnestly watched by the all the guests on site. It was the vessel adopted air bag launching with the largest tonnage in China.

It was known that “Shanghai Gangji 3 Hao” was the first special self propelled vessel designed and constructed by SPMP who absorbed advanced technology home and abroad to optimize the vessel’s general design and main parameters. The vessel was a full-formed one with shallow draft, broad deck and rigid structure, specially used for transporting large sized container cranes. Three to four ship-to-shore cranes can be loaded on the vessel, which held very much practical significance to the company in lowering the cost, developing market and improving competitive forces.
